In her teenage years, it appears to be waist length.  I don't know if she cut it after that or not.

According to her friends the Empress could easily sit on her hair.

What books could I find that info in? I've read so many I can't recall right now.

Ania Vyrubova wrote this I think. In one photo of the 1891 shooting from the Renaissance fancy dress ball one sees the length quite good for she is not wearing the hair up

She had a very long hair, the majority of photos that I've seen of her it's impossible to appreciate the
her hair because it's up, thank you for the photos and I hope that you can post the last photo, would be interesting
to see it, thank you

" If the parlormaid of the tsaritsa was late, Tatiana always could brush her mother's hair that was not so easily brushed; her hair was so long, that the tsaritsa could sit on it. " - Anna vyrubova

look here:

I'm pretty sure it's her hair - it's darker than the rest but I think it's her hair at almost full lenght (not counting the fact that she has sorta pony tail here) - and she's very young in the picture, so I suppose that when she was a tsarista, her hair was even longer!
