Your sister said that your great grandparent was prince Alexander Nicholas ( Balashov and Obolensky ) and he was DISTANT relative of Nicholas (and he considered him as a cousin). In your first post you said you was DIRECT descendent. There s a BIG difference between both things

That s why people is talking about you and your claim.

As your sister said, you are DISTANT relative of Nicholas II. You re not great grand daughters of his kids.

I am failing to understand the point of this site. I never would have realized how words are so intensely scrutinized!!!! Perhaps it is age difference and the absence of manners, I would never address an adult nor ANYONE in the manner that many of you have on this site and elsewhere on the web-I believe the site is full of 20-something members who need a job or a list of chores from mom and dad and learn some basic people skills. The purpose of any site is to help and guide others POLITELY in the direction they need to-not to be overly critical and accusing. So I botched a few I's on the end of Nicholas. I am not here to prove anything to anyone. I know who I am and my purpose and goal in life. Without a goal and purpose-this leads to lack of discipline, which is quite evident.To want some information re: my family should not be the equivalent of standing before a firing squad. Being in the martial arts and having a degree in psychology and nursing, I believe a few of you need a good lesson in manners and respect. My advice to all of you would be to basically follow the 3 R's-Respect yourself, Respect others and take Responsibility for your actions. Another good one and one to sit and meditate on would be-"Think before acting and speaking". I have corresponded with a few from this site who have been incredilby helpful and continue to be. I must say this site obviously is not run by any "true" Romanoffs because being a Romanoff does not include the behavior and disrespect I have witnessed here. Update on the above site:  It would appear that Miss T. Keith's site, "OTMA-Four dearest angels" has  OVERNIGHT "gone into seclusion," allowing members only to read their screens.  Interesting!  Not even the site's registration screen is still available to register if one chooses.  AP

Hello! Believe it or not, I am of their lineage. My maternal great grandmother had a bastard son from Tsar Nicholas, my grandfather, and there is a picture of me at age 6 which looks astonishingly like Anastasia. It may seem delusional, but my cousin, a professor of history, did a geneology background on our family and discovered this. Even more delusional sounding, a medium told me that one of my spirit guides is Queen Victoria, the great unifier of European Royalty. She is also one of my decendants. I wrote a tongue-in-cheek essay in my profile notes, but really, I am a tsarina! :0)

I agree with Katenka.  These people are crazy!  DNA proves nothing, and I have no clue who is crazier: the claiments or the people who believe them.

There are also a set of brothers/cousins claiming to Leuchtenbergs on Facebook. When asked how they fit into the family or who their parents were, they would not answer, bit would only say they were from the "Bavarian/Russian line".

There are Habsburg issues along these lines too. There is one person who is pretty persistent that he is the grandson of Archduke Albrecht, the last Duke of Teschen. But the only ëvidence"of this he will provide is information that I myself published and that in no way connects him. He claims his father is "Rudolfo Habsburg" the son of Archduke Albrecht and his 3rd wife Lidia Strauss-Dorner.  Rudolfo probably does/did exist (I think he may be dead now), but the young man on Facebook has presented no evidence that he is Rudolfo's son.
