I've just dreamt of the whole family. They were - it seemed - in the crimea and were spending a very simple life... and i was watching them from somewhere out of sight, or maybe just like you see a movie on the screen and thought: "Oh, that's great to tell in my novel!". Alas, my novel is set in 1918, but anyway.. LOL-
What was strange was that at a certain point poor Maria felt ill with scarlet fever, and was slowly to recover. I was upset: "But she'n not Beth of Little Women! OTMA never had scarlet fever, as far as I know, and certainly they did not have it in 1914!" (for some reason i was sure it was 1914.) I was shouting this at the "screen" when a narrator voice came out saying that Maria would die before her sisters, in Sptember 1917. I was puzzled and started shouting even more: "That's not true, that's a lie, you're a stupid!" but on the screen I could see OTA reactions to their sister's death, and it was terrible, so i stopped shouting and bursted out crying.
My husband thought i had a nightmare!
And i swear the last time i read Little Women was something 15 years ago!!

Very interesting Sunny! An alternative Romanov ending doesn't always mean a happy one!

Ok, another one. They are following me also at nights, it seems LOL

This time i was digging in a cave (???? but why???) and i found out that in there there was Anastasija (she was ca. 13, 14 years old) living there with a hedgehog (???). The cave was full of bats and i run away scared, because they were really big bats. This is funny because where i live there are a lot of little bats and i'm not afraid of them, on the contrary i like find them in the wood when i go out with the dog and look at them sleeping. What a stupid dream!

I had a dream this morning ( I was soposed to be getting ready for school) and i was in a field with Tatiana and olga and olga's dog (?) was missing and we were trying to find it. Tanya got frustrated with olga and went to Alexandra. We were about to leave and Alexandra said she could stay and look for her dog then she asked me if i were staying with olga, I said yes and said goodbye to her tatiana and anastasia (where was maria?). We looked around the field and then we went to look in town, it looked exactly like a town now a day. Then we saw maria (i think she was shopping) and i said bye to her and she said bye to me (sweet voice). Then we made it to an ice cream truck.... My grandpa woke me up.... i was so mad it was the best dream i ever had!

I know how you feel, when someone wakes you up from a great dream like that! I had one about Tatiana a long time ago, and I was so mad when my mother woke me!

But I had another recently.

I was Olga, (I just somehow know that, I never saw my face or anything) and for some reason, I was trapped in a Catholic school. Yes, a Catholic school. I don't know how I got there, but I was there. It looked so much like the upper floor of my school, just a big long hall with classrooms and lockers on one side, but all the students were in class, and for some reason I was trying to escape. I don't really know why I was, but I do remember there was a priest, Father (something that starts with a D), and he was trying stop me from escaping. For some reason there were people at every corner trying to stop me too (they were the minions of Father D), and after a very long while, I finally got out, but there were archers trying to stop me. I was stung by an arrow in my right arm, but I kept running. When I made it outside, what I saw was my friend's big gray house, which startled me because the school seemed so much bigger. I ran down the driveway and into the street in front of it. Right about then my dream ended.

I was rather glad to wake up from this one! It wasn't very pleasant, and I could feel the pain of being hit with those arrows. This dream reminds me of the scenario of the cellar, and how everyone was shooting, and I couldn't escape! I think the Catholic v. Orthodox thought could stand for Reds v. Whites, and the school a prison. My friends and I jokingly refer to school as prison a lot, but this time it was much more real! Oh, I really hope I get a pleasant dream soon! I'm just glad the dream had a better ending than the reality though.

Anyone else have dreams?

Hmmmm interesting dream, Tayla!

The ONLY Romanov dream I've remembered having is (I still see it clearly) that I was on the standart, and I was talking to Anastasia. I remember her voice(it was low-medium), but (if you get me) I can't remember what she actually said, but all I know is I remember the voice, and seeing her face, c.1912, so she was around 11. She was dressed in this outfit:

Oh and I think I had one not so long ago where I met the Dowager Empress. If I remember correctly, she was on her own wearing a court dress, and all I remember saying was "Grandmamma" and hugging her....strange  ???  ???

But as for other dreams? Thats all i can recall...the latter one of the dreams was really odd though.

That's such a sweet dream! I remember talking to myself in the dream, but I don't remember exactly what it was, or what it sounded like. Don't you just hate that?

I love the Grandmamma dream, that's so sweet! What colour was the court dress, if you don't mind me asking?

Yes, my most recent dream that was! I think, if I remember, it was this one or similar to it:

I had one last night...

Sorry to say that I don't remember any of the dialogue between myself and characters but it was a rescue mission I was leading, alone. The only recognizable main characters were myself, Nicholas, Olga and Anastasia.

I was armed and leading them through a trap door in the basement of a house and then through some type of bunker and trenches that eventually led outdoors. The trenches were reminiscent of WW1 and soldiers, medics, etc were racing past us not stopping to ask any questions. Their ages seemed to correspond to one another but the timing wouldn't have been right for a logical rescue from captivity circa 1917-18. Anastasia was clearly 11 or 12. Olga around 17, and Nicholas wasn't as aged (i.e. without significant graying or lines on his face) as has been depicted towards the end.

I didn't get the sense that we were being pursued closely but there was still a great sense of urgency to get to safety. We eventually made it to a clearing in some field all alone and stopped to take a break. My dream disintegrated from there...wish it could have played through to a happy ending with us being reconnected with the rest of the family or something. Oh well, dreams are flukey like that...

Once in a while you get shown the light, in the strangest of places if you look at it right...

The great thing about such a dream is it lets one play out what so many wish to do even now, nearly a 100 years later  ... that is ,  get them to safety. It means alot to get the chance , even in a dream...and a sense of urgency  happens even when one reads of this time, much less be involved in a rescue. Terrific  dream!
