If you are male you have probably dreamed of being a nobleman, Baron, Count or Prince. Being a Guards Cavalry officer or Okhrana super spy. You try and save the IF or at least tatania.

If you are a female you have probably dreamed of being  a noblewoman, Baroness, Countess, or Princess. You go to the Smolny. You are the lady in waiting or maid of honor to your favorite Romanov or you are the hostess of a fashionable salon. You also try and save the IF or at least Olga.

The problem is how to have a happy ending. I don't think any of us want to stay in lenin or Stalin's USSR. and fleeing into exile means if you are a man you get to be a taxi driver in Paris. If you are a woman you get to be the wife of a taxi driver. About the only way to do this is to be from Finnland. Men your military skills help win Finnlands independence and keep it during the Winter War of 1939-40 and WW II. Women you also get to help out. Well it sure beats going into exile.

Answering to an old post I know, but this totally made me laugh! I just had one dream a couple of days ago which, surprise surprise, ended with me fleeing to Finland with the IF. This seems to be the case though every time I have these dreams, but I think it's quite natural since I actually am from Finland...

The dream I had though: I don't remember much about it but somehow I was married to Nicholas (Alix had died from some kind of disease) and we had these 5 little kids together. Plus OTMAA of course. I believe we walked all the way from Siberia to Finland and lived on a nice little farm all happily together. I think it was june/august since the weather was very hot and all the girls were complaining about it :D

Btw, isn't it such an awkward feeling when you dream like this and then wake up next to your fiancee like nothing happened. Except the fact that you just had a sort of affair with someone else. I hate that feeling even though I'm fully aware of the fact that a dream affair isn't actually comparable to an IRL one...

Sounds like it was an interesting dream.

Finally had my first Romanov dream , after reading Andrew Cook's underwhelming book before I went to sleep .
I was in my childhood home (not lived there since 1992) and Olga was there , as well as other people, but I can't remember who . Anyway I showed her some sort of art book I had made as a child which included some small drawings of her . Olga seemed pleased and moved by them and she touched my arm . Turning the pages we came to a spectacular full page drawing of her . I then went into the kitchen and she tried to follow, but I was ashamed of the mess in the kitchen so I talked to her in the doorway . End of dream . Too many hidden meanings in there to mention!

Good dream.  Wouldn't want a Grand Duchess to see a messy kitchen.

Ha ! Exactly! It was beyond messy in the dream ; so bad ,  it represented a health hazard .

I'd be ashamed to let Tatiana see my apartment before I cleaned it.  The cat I named after her has this habit of leaving fur all over the place.

I had two dreams in the last night but I just remeber of one of them. In my dream I saw Nicholas, Olga and Tatiana after the revolution.
Nicholas was fishing at the beach near of Livadia Palace and Olga, Tatiana and I were running by the beach and after we entered in the Palace to take tea.

The dream was long but I just remember this part.
“The most difficult thing—but an essential one—is to love life,
to love it even while one suffers, because life is all.
life is God, and to love life means to love God.”

-- Leo Tolstoy

The dreams I had were years ago, but I remember them like they were yesterday. This one is my personal favourite so I thought I would share them with you all:

The first one I was running across the grass of Alexander Palace, wearing a white dress and barefooted, with a hat similar to the ones the Grand Duchesses had with the ribbon wrapped around the base and blowing in the wind. I was laughing, smiling, and I felt my hands being taken. When I looked to both sides to see who it was, surprisingly I saw Maria and Olga. It wasn't in black and white like all the pictures we have seen, but Olga's hair in the sun nearly blinded me, it was that blonde in the sunlight!

Maria winked at me from my other side and the next thing I know we stopped running, and a small girl zipped past us. It was the little Imp herself, Anastasia, who was cheering and yelling happily. Just as she realised Maria, Olga and I had stopped she placed one foot forward to run but slipped, and there she was standing in a puddle up to her knees, ruining her dress which was identical to the ones the three of us were wearing. We laughed hard and hard at the youngest, who turned her head and pouted at us, her mouth moving but no sound coming out which bewildered me, however from the expression on her face they were not overly pleasant words!

When I realised the dream had not included Tatiana, I heard a voice shout from behind us in Russian, a language I did not understand, but my brain immediately reacted and I shouted back, the voice coming from my lips not the one my realistic body was accustomed too, and there was Nicholas, Alexandra and Alexei. Alexei was laughing at his older sister who was stomping towards us, her legs and bottom portion of her dress caked in mud. Alexandra was looking disapproving at the dress, but a little smile was trying to creep onto her face and Nicholas was holding his stomach, he was laughing so hard. When the four of us reached them, Alexandra immediately began tending to Anastasia's dress and Nicholas gave Olga, Maria and I kisses on our cheeks. I saw Alexei turn to me and mouth a word, and in my confusion I woke up.

I late hypothesised that my dream had placed me in the position of Tatiana, enjoying a time spent with her family. I thought it was amazing my brain had just taken my obsession with the Romanovs into a dream that placed me in the point of view of the second daughter herself!

My brain had also, when I came to think of it, had made Alexei and Anastasia mute because I had not heard how they sounded, including Olga, Maria and Alexandra, but because we have videos of Nicholas' voice-some pitched down-my brain took that and placed it into my dream!

From the appearance of Anastasia, Maria and Olga and my own age at the time I believe my dream took place in 1912.
