Nicholas in Sevastopol

In 1902/3, I believe? Was little Olga Nicholaievna there too - since I have seen some shots with Nicholas and Alexandra with little Olga at Sevastopol in early XX century, labeled to have been taken in 1902.

I don't know about the year exactly, but it's indeed the beginning of XXth centrury.

This one was labelled as 1902 - Nicholas in Kherson in Ukraine - during a tour of the fortress - picture most probably taken in the same time as that one from Sevastopol.

I think it was taken during the celebrations of tercentenary of the Romanov House.

The same with this one. What do you think?

That's what I thought, 'cause I remember hearing that in a documentary, but I wasn't 100% sure if I was remembering right. But in that one he just looks so much shorter than in other photo's I've seen him in.

Nicholas was 5ft 7 so not abnormally short. However, most Romanov men were unusually tall, so he looks unduly short by comparison. For comparison purposes, George V was only about 5ft 5, and the Kaiser 5ft 9.

Ann (5ft 6)
