He looks just the tiniest bit older in this picture (IMO). I probably still wouldn't have guessed it was him, but I might have been closer to guessing it was him in this pic, than in the other one.

Who are the other people in these pictures and where were they taken? One of the men is Ernst Ludwig and one lady Alexandra, but I don't know about the rest.

There are all the Vladimirovich cousins but Helena (Andrei, Boris, Kyrill) Also Victoria Melita who was married with Ernst Ludwig back then and also, there s Nicholas of Greece, "Greek Nicky"

Olgasha, do you have any information about the place and date the photo you posted was taken ? My best guess is Polish hunting lodge Spala, in late 1890's, but I can be highly wrong.

As far as I know, it was indeed taken in Poland, at Spala. I don't exactly know what year.
