Hey! Those are great and absolutely NEW for me! It seems almost impossible to find new photos of the IF, but there's always a new one around...

Can someone help me with some information? On the cover of the American edition of Fate of the Romanovs, there is a wonderful picture of Nicholas and OTMAA. My question is, who is the other boy standing in front of the family and smiling?

Thanks in advance!

I have always thought if that the boy was Kolia Derevenko, Alexei's playmate, who is smiling and standing in front of the Emperor and his children. Or could it be GD's Xenia's youngest son?  That series of photos were taken in early 1915 or 1916, the date differs according to the sources. Aunt Xenia's sons are seen behind the IF.

In the photo with Alexis on the sled we can see the three youngest boys have on the same hat and coat...and the rich furs would also  indicate these are Xenia's  sons. Thank you blessOTMA! I was almost sure if the boy was Kolia. Well, one source labels that series to have been taken in March of 1916.
