What an awesome collection! Something any Romanov fan/historian would drool over!

Now if you'll excuse me I must go and wipe the dribble off my own chin. ;)

Really though, that's amazing. I hope one day my collection will be so grand!

It's called "To Be A Princess". I read it at my school library and it's about the lives of princesses around the world, and how things aren't always fairy-tale perfect. It is for children but is still quite good. The princesses shown are Mary & Elizabeth Tudor of England, Queen Marie Antoinette of France, Queen Victoria of England, Ka'iulani of Hawaii, OTMA, Gayatri Devi of India and Elizabeth & Margaret Windsor of England.

My Grade 12 English teacher actually bought them for me in the "gift shop" at the Alexander Palace when she visited Tsarskoe Selo : D

NAOTMAA Fan, your book collection is impressive but I must say I just love your frames and eggs. Very envious of you at the moment.

My collection has definitely grown since being in Russia. I'll have to take some pictures soon.

Oh please do post pictures. I always enjoy seeing the collections of others. Once I get my digital camera working I'll have to take my own pictures.

Here are a few pictures from my collection. (cell phone photos, excuse the bad quality) These books are currently on my shelf versus the rest which are put away. Trying to convince my husband to build me a large display bookshelf just for my books, he's warming to the thought. :)

As you can see I do have a few duplicates. "Sunset of the Romanov Dynasty", "St. Petersburg Portrait of an Imperial City", and "Views of the palaces at Tsarskoe Selo". Not to mention three copies of Robert Massie's 'Nicholas and Alexandra.'. I actually have to start sorting out the duplicates and making room for new books coming in this week.

Some of the books not pictures are my prized Jacques Ferrand books. Once I have them all displayed, and get a decent camera I'll take photos.
