A Balalaika! So COOL! ^^

Thanks! I thought so too! It was my graduation gift from a sweetheart here on the forum.

Here are a few more photos I took today of some more things I didn't get a chance to take a picture of yesterday:

Paul Crees and Peter Coe's "Alexandra & Anastasia"
Franklin Mint's "Anastasia"

These are two items I picked up from Children's Island. The rock was near the water, and the plaster piece came off of the house on Children's Island. I  DID NOT take the plaster piece off myself, I picked it up from the ground, beside the house. I have photo proof!

I WANT THAT ANASTASIA DOLL.

I have one of those badges. The Nicholas one with the gold and silver. No idea where it is.

I can see you taking a hammer to the Children's Island to get some rocks. ;]

Thanks Holly! : )

In doing my small photo-shoot yesterday, I have come to realize I have been blessed with two copies of Nicholas & Alexandra - Paper Dolls.
If anyone wants my duplicate, it's free to a good home. PM me : )

Edit - The Paper Dolls have been spoken for. You guys are QUICK!

As do I. I may wear it around my finger occasionally.

Oh..I'm so envious of your Laura! I'll keep an eye out for them, they look so pretty and unique. Unlike you, I've keep my collection to photos and books. Haven't had the courage to venture out (I'm afraid I won't be able to stop shopping!)

I thought I would show or share my collection lol.. its a jumble :D
but its some historical/person/Romanov :) Hope you enjoy :)

Above, is the entire collection, books, postcards (I think are Romanov-inspired, and cards as well) Ikons, a home-made cup design :D, A bookmark of Alexei, My tiny Matroyshka, and the tiny container I own of authentic Bulgarian Rose Oil. the two tiny pieces, are gifts from my Auntie Beatrice who has been everywhere in the World lol. :D

The jar-like things, are gifts that I think remind me of Russia, and the red-white designed yarn thing is called a Martinisa, from Bulgaria. You wear it for the 1st of March :) It's kind of like Valentine's Day in Bulgaria :)

Above, the home-made cup of the Romanov Imperial double-headed Eagle symbol :)
ikons, the Martinisa container, my Bulgarian Matroyshka, and Rose Oil flask, and then something personal to me My Journal, which I always think looks Imperial LOL, even though its magnetically locked LOL. <.<

]

Above, closeups of my Matroyshka, and the little decorated container of Rose Oil :)

Hope you enjoyed my sharing of my collection! :D

Below, is a comprehensive look into the collection, I wish and hope I may expand it :)

~The Ikons I have there, are two from my Nannies (father's mother) memorial services. They remind me of Russia very much. Then the two larger of the Ikons, one is actually a card print, and the other a sentimental gift card :)

~The Virgin Mary, Mother of God,
~Archangel Micheal, Patron Saint of Moscow :)

~Books of the collection:

~20th Fox Presents ANASTASIA: movie art book
~FATE of the ROMANOVS
~Nicholas & Alexandra
~The Romanovs : The Final Chapter~
~Royal Palaces
~Anastasia's Album
~TSAR by Peter Kurth
~Masterpieces from the House of FABERGE
~DK-Eyewitness books - St. Petersburg, Russia
~Two copies of Alexander Pushkin's Evgeny Onegin
~my imperial-looking journal .... lol

~Trinkets:

~My Home-made Romanov double-headed Eagle symbol Cup
~My Bulgarian Matroyshka, and Bulgarian Rose Oil :)
~My Alexei bookmark, a friend gave to me :)
~assorted postcards, with flower/foliage paintings on them, that remind me of OTMA

and last but not least,

the thousands of fotographs, and thnigs I've collected since 2007 (pictures of NAOTMAA, formal sessions, Palaces, Faberge Eggs, the Shtandart, Polar Star, etc.... lol)

and :D

all my artwork LOL

God Bless!
Slava Bogu!

Very nice! I like the icons.

Am I wrong or does that postcard say Mexico? Hahaha.

You made it over to Children's Island?! I'm green with envy, Laura!! :-)  I'd love to see photos if you have them.  I assume the canal was frozen solid and you walked across?
