Ice skating was a pretty common sport among the royals. There are tons of  pictures of them ice skating (Patsy connaught with Gustav V, Marie of Romania and husband Ferdinand, Juliana of Netherlands, and etc etc)

I also have ones of Vicky & Fritz in a skating party, Daisy Connaught, Alfonso & Ena, Maurice Battenberg, Missy with Elizabeth and, I think, Ileana. It was very popular it seems through the generations. In Prussia, though, didn't Wilhelm's sister-in-law write in her memoirs about the restrictions on it?
