Viktoria Luise and Princess Eitel Friedrich :

I wonder what were her relations with her sisters-in-law and with whom she got along better ?

Are there any celebrations, memorials, or other events planned for the 100th anniversary of the wedding of VL this coming May?

Answered my own question:  there will be an exhibition commemorating the anniversary of the wedding at the Schlossmuseum in Braunschweig from May 24 until September 10. The nearby Braunschweigisches Landesmuseum presents an exhibition entitled "1913 – Happy Modern Times" from May 28 until March 30, 2104, in which this wedding will also be focused on.

It contains links to videos showing the wedding carriage processions (in color!) and one in which VL talks about her wedding (in German but there are photos as well.)

Thanks Gdella! Not only is the color footage interesting from the VL wedding/history perspective, it impressively notable how early the German film industry was at the forefront of technology.

From the film, it looks like the staging for the procession was in and around Pariser platz near the Brandenburg Gate. Then they made their way down Unter den Linden to the palace and cathedral. It also appears that the departure point may have been the Hotel Adlon. Since most guests would have stayed there (WII financed the elegant hotel which had nicer and more modern suites than the palaces of the day) it makes sense to have the parade begin from that point. Certainly was a big event.

the second link in which VL speaks about her wedding has been blocked. I couldn't find a source online for a view; thoughts?

thanks again!

The city, like most mid-to-large-sized cities in Germany is quite easy to get to by automobile or train or connecting air flights. It's essentially in the middle of the triangle formed by Berlin, Hamburg, and Frankfurt. The surrounding countrysides, towns, and villages are often jewels, such as Goslar and Hannoversch Munden.
