Alexei and his sisters

Sorry..But I don't think she wanted to be a boy. She was a sweet girl ,very happy to be a girl. She wanted so strongly to become a mother and dwas so feminine! No; she was suffering rather of what it's called: "The middle sibling syndrome". She was not the eldest of the girls, like Olga or Tatiana, nor the little one, like Anastasia. She was the daughter always aside , who believed no one loved her (of course it was not true, but middle children uses to believe it..any psychology book will said it), not even her parents. Maybe this was the cause for her extremely good behavior: she wanted to be accepted and loved and will do anything that was at hand to be noticed, poor angel.

Tatiana was Alexandra favorite daughter, but i think that by the fact Anastasia was the little girl on the family, she was a little spoiled by her parents.
Did Maria sometimes fell a little jealous of her younger sister?

I don't think Maria was really that jealous, but she felt more left out. When she was younger, Olga and Tatiana at first excluded her from their games.  Maria felt she wasn't wanted or needed - Nicholas had Alexandra, Olga had Tatiana and Anastasia had Alexei. There are some letters from Alexandra to Maria saying that Maria was loved. But I think Maria was good-natured, and probably wouldn't be jealous of Anastasia if she was spoiled. (Which I think she was not...)

I don't think that Maria was really jealous of Alexei, but most middle children think that they are not loved by their family, but I don't think that Maria fit in their, may e they had arguments with eachother but I don't think she was jealous of him. Even do she most have felt alone sometime because everbody had someone, like Grand Duchess Jennifer said "Nicholas had Alexandra, Olga had Tatiana and Anastasia had Alexei. Maria must have felt that she didn't have anyone. It must have been hard for her when  had someone. It is what I think
