Neighborhoods

Hi everyone,

I assume that there were several "rich sections" and "poor sections" of St. Petersburg around 1915. Does anyone know specifically WHERE in St. Petersburg these neighborhoods were? And better yet, if they had names, even informal ones?

This map appears to have neighborhoods marked in light gray-- but I don't read Russian! Can anyone translate? Or are they indicating something else entirely?

"Light grey"zones don't mean poor or rich districts. Just the names of the districts.

The rich or wealthy people and aristocrates lived in the centre of the city, The 2nd City District as its name in the map (around the Winter Palace) and in the Petrogradskiy district, i.e. Petrogradskiy island (where the Peter and Paul Fortress).

Oh-- I know they don't mean rich/poor! Rather that those light gray areas seemed to indicate different neighborhoods/districts. Thank you!
