I think Rasputin is definitely out of this question...

I agree with Tina.

Besides, do you really think she had any other man besides Nicholas? Doubtfully...

Since my english isnt perfect like yours and i rather give short replies to not embarrass myself, i dont like her because i dont aprove the way she isolated her children, among other attitudes.

As what I've read from Wikipedia, Prince Albert Victor Duke of Clarence was one of her lovers, too:The first, in 1889, was Princess Alix of Hesse and by Rhine but she did not return his affection and refused his offer of engagement. Taken from Wikipedia and the source of that is Albert Victor writing to Prince Louis of Battenberg, 6 September 1889 and 7 October 1889, quoted in Cook, pp. 157–159 and 183–185. It's also said in Sophie Buxhoeveden's memoirs that many men were attracted to her but she didn't take notice of them because she loved Nicky above else.

I think you are mistaken the word "lover" to the one of  "formal boy friend" or simply you believes that "lover" is a person who likes a woman and that's all...No; in English, "lover" would mean the man had sex with her (sorry for the too harsh word, but my own English is poor and I don't know how to explain myself). In this sense of the word, Alix had no other "lover" than his own husband, Nicholas II. She was very near to be engaged to the Duke of Clarence, but at least, she wasn't. He was engaged to Mary of Teck, future wife of George V, even if he would have liked to marry Helena of France. In Greg KIng's book "The Last Empress", he also claims Alix was very close to be engaged to some nobleman that Queen Victoria wanted for a husband for her, but she refused to marry him and the Queen accepted her opinion.

Rodion,

Please be more respectful with your questions - "she" happened to have been the former Empress, Alexandra Fyodorovna.

Despite the numerous salacious rumors that seem to continue to this day, there was no physical relationship between the former Empress and Grigorii Rasputin.

To my mind Alexandra didn't have any.

'Lover' in British English is usually used of a person with whom someone has an extramarital sexual relationship.

Nicholas was Alexandra's husband. I think it highly doubtful that she ever had a physical relationship with Rasputin. Clarence and the unnamed nobleman were suitors, potential suitors or perhaps admirers.

It was already discussed around the forum many times, but I want to remember that the awful rumors about a relation between Empress Alexandra Feodorovna and Rusputin came out from the "Revolutionary propaganda" that wanted to throw mud on Empress's reputation, that's all.

Empress Alexandra had just ONE love: Tsar Nicholas II, and NOBODY ELSE....Rasputin is definitely OUT of discussion.
