Ally, I gotta try that. Maybe I can name my chickens Olga, Tatiana, Maria and Anastasia Nikolaevna.
That would be funny if one day they got out of their pen and you had to go around calling," Olga, Tatiana, Maria and Anastasia Nikolaevna! come here! " lol!

Oh, that is so funny!
i wish i lived somewhere where there is no snow, too. I'm sick of winter.  ;D

Tasia, the name "Nicolau" is really cool. i've never heard that before.
There is a clock that never strikes...
There is a cathedral that goes down and a lake that goes up...
There is a little carriage abandoned in the copse...
There is a troupe of little actors in costume...
And when you are hungry or thirsty, there is someone who drives you away.

Here's a couple more...

...you know you're obsessed when you're out shopping and buy a nail polish called "Mauve Star" just because...well, you know.

...you know you're obsessed when your friend is having a slumber party to which you're supposed to bring a movie...you get excited, open your mouth, and the friend says, "But it has to be in ENGLISH!!! No Russian!"

That sounds a little like me! XD

You know you're obsessed when you realize you're listening to a song related to the Romanovs while reading a book on the Romanovs, and the wall behind you has about fifty photos of the Romanovs taped on it.

HAHA!!! I can just picture that!
Someone should make a wallpaper, meaning one for a living room or something, entirely out of Romanov photos. Then you could get Imperial-Russian-esque furniture and things and call it the "Romanov room". Lol.

I had to take down those pictures today, and I was so sad! :'(  Oh well, it's for a good cause: I'm painting my room pink (hot pink or mauve?).  Once it's over with, those pics will be back where they belong. :D

When you laugh at certain girls that have an obsession with OTMA.   Or all they talk about is OTMA and then remember "Yes I was at an OTMA love bases for two years but of course I wasn't THAT bad as those girls of today."

Beautiful faithful Nargony.
Thanks Emily!

Lol, rosieposie :D

I've got a couple more.

...for those of you who've seen Russian Ark: leaving a buliding with a large group of people, all you can think about is the final scene of that movie.

...watching America's Next Top Model, you get excited when a girl is named Tatiana (this happened today! I started laughing!)

And just a side note...at the party I mentioned (where I wasn't supposed to bring any historical/Russian movies XD), ironically, in two out of the three movies we watched, Russian was spoken!

When your Dad is labeling toolboxes and you insist he labels one of them 'OTMA'.

I just remembered this one, it happened last year...
When your teacher is writing Chemistry info on the board and accidentally uses a "t" at the end of the word "Standard", he just goes "Whoops" but you crack up and everyone looks at you strangely.

And also, I'm doing a family research project, and I was talking to my mom today about how I never realized my great-grandmother was born in England, and I said "That explains why grandma always kept so many British traditions, I always thought it was strange with her German last name..." and then I go "Kind of like Alix!" lol.
