YKYOW you get really excited when you find a lamp in a hotel bathroom that looks like one of the flowers off of OTMA's ceiling lamp.
I took a photo of it.

I'll see if I can dig one up. Their English tutor,  Sidney Gibbs,  collected it from the Ipative House after the town fell and then installed it  in his London home...where it still might be. It's quite beautiful.

This reminds me...YKYOW you go to Home Depot or some other furniture/hardware store and look for a lamp like that flowery one. I've yet to see one that nice.

The flower on that lamp looks rather exotic, like some sort of tropical lily or something like that. It's very pretty, whoever decorated Mr. Ipatiev's house had good taste. It's nice that NAOTMAA lived their last days in a residence that had interiors similar to their palaces, I mean that it wasn't all dreary and dingy with plain furniture like some people who don't know much about them think.

YKYOWTR when you happen to glance at the clock when it is 9:01 - 9:18 and you immediatley think of the Romanov-related events that happened in that year, or an image pops in your mind of the IF then. It happens to me all the time!
