It happens to me too! Especially on 24-hour clocks where there is things like 19:18 and 19:05 and stuff!

I don't think I've encountered a 24-hour clock reading 19:00-1918 since I became interested in the Romanovs, but that is a great example.    It also happens when I read dates in non-Romanov books and such, for example, if a novel is taking place in 1906, when I first read that the 1906 OTMA formal picture of them all lined up pops in my head!
And from now on the shopping total thing will happen to me too!    ;D

Haha, wow! That is obsessed! Well I don't have a car to name, and even if I did I don't think I would ever name it...I just can't see myself naming my car....of course that all depends on how obsessed I get, and I can get pretty obsessed!

YKYOWTRW you're watching a movie called Haven and when it comes to FDR's death they show footage of the Yalta Convention with Churchill and Stalin and you yell "hey that's Livadia in the back... oh my god!" after you notice Livadia's columns in the background it's still paused on the scene right now as I'm typing this!  ;D

When your watching an episode of Army Wives and they are talking about a memorial for someone who was born in 1918, and go hey Romanovs!, then immediately get sad because of the terrible events that happened that year.

I was taking a bike ride with my Dad earlier today and I was trying to explain to him about a company that makes paper towels that is called 'towl' and he thought I was saying 'powl' so I said 'no, P as in potato and T as in Tatiana,' because that was the first T word I would think of!  :)

When you're sitting on the couch and watching the history channel because that's what your Dad has on the TV and when they show a map of somewhere in the middle east and there is a spot on it labled Tasa (I think that's how it was spelt) and you thought it said Tsar.
