Cleaned up a bit...I can revert it back to original colour if preferred...

Full discovery credits of course still go to Grand Duchess Mariana. Great find!

Thanks =] , for cleaning the pic! You did what I couldn't do...(yes , i don't have a photoshop... ¬¬' )
But anyways I have to say Ally has a little credit for bringing the idea of posting the pic here...I wouldn't think of that if she hadn't said it... ;]

I would also like to see this clean version of the photo Alexandra with Marie from the link which Mariana posted...Bigger and clear...

Here it is(sorry about the quality) :

Thanks a lot very much, Mariana dear! I so want to buy such photos but it will take me 100 years to save money for those!
I'll provide a bigger screencap if my internet connection allows me :-)

Your very welcome Shamee ! =]
And yes , I'm sure everyone on this forum(including me! XD ) would die for such samples!

Let me make this perfectly clear:

I LOVE SEEING NEW FORMALS.

Thank you.

:^)

Hahah , i second that! And your more than welcome.. :)

Oh, I’m so sorry, Mariana. I thought the computer monitor in the internet café where I use a computer is very big and thought it would provide a bigger screencap…But, when I came home to see the screencap I made there, it was just as big as yours…I’m so sorry again :-(

Amazing colored fotos  by the most wonderful Yelena Aleksandrovna. Endless thank you very much!

Wonderful rare pictures! =)
I hope this is rare: Olga and Anastasia in Crimea (1909)
If someone has it unmarked, could you post it please? Thanks in advance =)

I found this picture on ebay. I have never seen it before. Is labeled as "Grand Duchess Marie Romanova of Russia (1899-1918), a daughter of tsar Nicholas II. of Russia"

I see a bit of facial resemblance, but I'm skeptical. The clothes don't seem quite right...

Not only the clothes...the face is not exactly the typical one which Maria had...

Knowing who s the seller of this picture , there s a high probability this isnt the real Maria...

Marie looked different as a little girl, she had a more "proper" face than when she got older. I do not know the English term for this. A baby face and the clothes- well, hat correct, summers one, dress same- I have seen more photos of the series and they do show Olga and Tatiana, too. Olga is seated with flowers, next to Tatiana. They are lovely- Katenka- believe it, but if you have seen the whole album, you might be sorry for not being the owner. It is not that I say that to defend the seller, but the photos are georgeous. There is even one of Irina and Nikita as children, one of Xenia as a little child with a Russian doll and much more.
It s like the album I ve seen many years ago made by Victoria Melita from Rosenau, that was a really hard find and great. I did only see some of the photos in here of little Elisabeth of Hesse and by Rhine.

Hmmm funny but EVERY time this seller comes up you come over to defend him/her. Curious.

I ve seen pictures of him/ her about the romanovs, very good and real ones but others are just  mislabeled stuff (on purpose or not). Thanks god here are lots of pictures of Maria at this age and people can compare.

Dont bother in defent  this seller (or yourself) anymore, now i just laugh at people who buy his/her "mislabeled" items

Katenka, I think it s my duty to come up everytime if you try to make this forum a place where to discuss such things. I m not the seller! it would have been a stupid thing to defend myself in here, don t you think so? I just know the seller as a Historian, not well, but I have the items, many of them and the album.
I could ask you why you always come up again with a subject that does not belong in here and by the way- people do copy pictures in here to show them by Beinecke, from ebay sellers and other places- very strange, but if I mention such things you do not get into that- as I ve mentioned members who still are very active in here and sold copies of photos of this forum at ebay- that should have been a subject in those days, but it was okay, cause they were members of this forum?
I once contacted one of those sellers and got to know more- so some were allowed to sell those repros and others not- because they were not members of the forum, but did copy the idea of selling repros.
To be true, those ones had to be blocked in here.
That was the real shame.

I m sorry to be true, but many of the themes in here are nonsense and it s like a kindergarten sometimes, even the behaviour of members.
