Reds (1981)

So I am hanging out on IMDB's Film General board, and there is a discussion about this epic film, and was wondering what the folks here thought about it. Me, I have not seen it yet. So, hope I can get an interesting discussion going.

I saw it twice in the movies in the early 1980s when it was released.

It is an interesting film about John Reed and his reporting of the revolution and this further activities as a supporter of the revolution.

There are no Romanovs in this movie.  As I remember, only some mention of them as the reason for the revolution. 

It concentrates on the crowds and the fighting in the St. Petersburg streets.  It is a biography of John Reed and his companions.
