Ok,.,,,, The only problem i have is that i have no idea what she sings about.

I should probebly learn Italian. But i don`t think many outside Italy. And maby France knows who she is

I think you're right...in the past, she was also famous in many other European countries, but now probably she is not soo famous outside Italy.

I know her. I like "Alle porte del sole", "dio come ti amo" (Thats the song of my fiance and I), and "Rose nel buio"

I love alternative artist Emilie Autumn,  it's not her emo/gothic or as she calls her style "VictiorianIndustralism".   It the beauty and art of her songs and poetry.  The playing of the violin both classic and eletric and the great range of vocals she has.

I think because I can understand what she has been through in being in tough situations such as abuse (which I have experienced) by a lover.   I also love the song "Shallot" based on the poem "The Lady Of Shallot" by Alfred Tennyson.   Oh and her black comedy song of "Marry Me" which is about Katherine Howard the executed wife of Henry VIII.

hey,I'm not from the U.S., but to be honest, I think Gaga is a great performer - she can sing, she can dance and she knows how to make a good show, her songs are really good when you wanna dance and come on, she's the only artist to have four #1 singles from a debut album ever, am I right? I think that say enough. I like her.

but, my fav solo artist for now would be Tina Turner - would you say, looking at this pic:



that she turned 70 on Nov. 26th? SEVENTY YEARS OLD!!! that's just crazy, she rocks, rocks, rocks, absolutely! Love her voice and I'd love to see her live in a concert...
