I recently came across a website, in Russian, which I cannot understand, listing many Russian Country houses and their churches, with exterior photoghraphs. It is a wonderful site. i am just so sorry that it is in Russian, as I am facinated by the country estates of Russia. My Russian is so bad, that I am unable to give you the name of the saite. Perhaps someone knows the site, and can tell me if it is available in english.

Oh Vladimir - I knew it may happen because of the terrible economy but I am disappointed - it was one I was really looking forward to - from a pile of rubble to the glories of the past :-)

Gleb, the Fermersky palace has been completed. They were installing the interiors last year when we were there.

Vladimir, do you know what has happened with the Fermersky? I had thought it was to open last August. Has Abris published a book on it yet? Do you know what other books Abris will publish in 2010?

They are still working at the design of the halls. They want to create the exposition on the first (ground) floor and open the museum in this year.
And today they are working in the garden of the Farm Palace (small grotto, pergola and two fountains).
Abris hasn`t published any books on it. But we are in waiting : )

Vladimir - I think that we were 2 of the 44 K that came from Canada and we were very glad we did :-)
Do you think that 142 K from Finland is a good tourist year? And 185,9 K from US?
