Alexia and Pavlos were both married in London, but the last few Christenings have been in Greece.
Know that Their Majesty's travel freely in Greece very reguarly, and spend months at a time doing it,  I see no reason why this wedding wont also take place there.
Knowing  a little bit about Nikolaos, he might want to have a small wedding in a small chapel, like on one of the islands or one of the mountain villages, rather thean a big event in the heart of Athens.

Might be possible Ilias.That combined with a grand pre-wedding event at the Dorchester for European Royalty as Nikolaos has attended all the weddings of the various princes and princesses here in dear old europe and can not just shuffle away without anyone on his own "big day",even tho he might wish he could.It won't work for the son of TM and the cousin of TM The King of Spain and the Queen of Denmark,it will be a grand event.He is the last of Europe's eligeble Princes of his generation of any Royal House,falsely deposed or not,n'importe pas,the Greek RF is still in very high esteem among their equals as well as the people in Europe.
There's no island in Greece that can hold so many,let alone securitywise.Except Crete maybe,but Crete is not the place for the Greek RF me thinks.Might be just Bayswater's Greek Orthodox Cathedral,nothing wrong with that either. Anyway,there's nothing over a big fat Greek wedding with all the trimmings,and there will be that.Knowing the invited guests all have their quarters reserved way in advance,I just do hope press,or what calls itself that,is aware it has to toy with their own hotel bill when not accredited by any of the major agencies.One can not,for example,bill a "friends" account and think one can get away with that unharmed.Weddings in this spectrum attract all kinds of funny & weird people you know.

we may just see a wedding at the Metropolis in Athens.
Imagine a private family wedding, so that those fools of the republican Government dont have to invite Monarchs.
TM's Elizabeth, Juan, Margette,Beatrice, Grand Duchess Maria, Prince and Princes of Monaco and Hesse, etc etc, all there to celebrate Nick's wedding.

They're family with most of them arent they?

I love staying at the Intercontinental. Hotel The views from the rooftop restaurant/bar are phenomenal. Queen Sophie of Spain has also stayed there several times...and it is not too bad a walk from there to Syntagma, the Acropolis and Plaka...besides the hotel offers a free shuttle service if one does not want to do the walk.

Walking around European cities is a true joy...one can find real treasures, as well as great photo opportunities, get a true feel for the city's ambiance and a little exercise which is an added convenience.

The first time I visited Greece more than two decades ago I stayed in a small hotel in Plaka...great location, but far too basic...I lasted two nights there, the noise wass overwhelming and the partying students far too obtrusive...instead I went to the Hilton. Spoiled brat!

The Hilton is much closer to the Syntagma/Plaka area and also has lovely views (one side of the building looks toward the Acropolis, the other side looks away from the city and on to Lycabetos hill.) But I have ot stayed there since it was refurbished in preparation for the Olympic Games.

Sorry mr.Leeche,a big fat Greek wedding has it's odd quarrel,nothing much.
We wouldn't mess up Nick's wedding now would we?Exactly,my thought as well.
Strong pro's and contra's,with emotion and even more reason are so very Greek too.Hence.

Art, you forgot the Grande Bretagne, now that is a classy place, right opposite Syntagma Square and Parliament in the heart of the city.
Many intersting people stay there reguarly, including TM's and HRH Crown Prince Alexander whenever he is in Athens, which is probably 5-6 times a year!

She is not related,she is a DIRECT descendant of the "Blood Countess" ;P
