PMs that wont send.....Help!

Help!

I have been trying to send a PM but when I go to send I get an error message saying that the letters do not match the letters in the box!

I can not for the life of me work out where the 'letters in the box' which needs to be matched is!?!?!?

Is this some glitch or am I not allowed to PM because I only joined as  Newbie today?

My mails do send now! I think it maybe just something happens when you first log on as a Newbie....I have no problems now!

I've registered last fall, but I just noticed my PM's won't send. And it doesn't show how many posts I've written either. I don't get it.

These are transient software issues related to the fact we have so many people using the forum at the same time.  Log out of the forum, clear your browser cache, quit your browser. Restart the browser and log back in. This usually fixes the issues.

I don't understand then what the problem is that you are experiencing. I get and answer PMs every day without a problem...

They don't show because they don't count because they're all in the Having Fun section. That's probably why you can't send PMs either.

I can't send PMs either, and I really need to contact Joanna and Bob Atchison.  Every time I write a nice message and try to send it, those wretched red notes come up saying the same thing about missing letters, which are nowhere to be found...

I just tried the "fix" and it didn't work

Have a look at the board administrative settings for PMs - there might be something amiss there

My IT guy has looked. The problem is not in the Forum software.  99% of our users are having no issues with PMs. That means that the problem lies on the other end, your end so to speak. Try using Firefox for example, instead of Internet Explorer...or vice versa...

The final answer from my computer guy is that the issue is most likely that the people experiencing the problem are using an older version of browser software. 
Any information you guys might have can be helpful...

Is the version of the forum software the latest version or is it overdue for a upgrade?

I tried the latest versions of IE and Safari and just cleared my cache sometime last week and am also having this problem. :\  - I think technology hates me.

Perhaps one of you could screencapture the error message? Just to see what's going on?
