PMs that wont send.....Help!

If I can be of help: as an forum-administrator myself I know these problems.

The letters everyone should be seeing is the verification code, an anti-spam meassure. I don't know which type of image library is used for generating these codes, but if people are not seeiing them the server doesn't load them in. Trying an other image library might help, but I think it is server-related or maybe software related (try updating to the latest version of SMF), as emoticons also don't load.

I am having this issue and have tried many of the suggested solutions, still no fix...does anyone have anymore possible solutions for me to try?

I can send and receive PMs OK, but I can only read the PMs received in my Inbox, I can't see my own outgoing PMs. This makes it difficult for me to conduct a sensible conversation with someone.  Am I very dim?  Where can I find copies of the PMs I have sent?

Um . . . I think that, you know when you're about to send a PM, then there's a little box that says "save to outbox" right beside it, near the send button? With me, then I have to manually press the little box and then it will save - it doesn't automatically.

You can have it automatically saved if you go to something like PM options on the side bar or something. I can't remember the name, but its somewhere below Forum Profile Settings or something of the sort. On another note, when I get PMs, no email will be sent to me half the time, even though I have the option checked. Don't really know where this belongs, but this was my best guess.

Really? I didn't know that! With me, I'll have an email sent, but it might be five or ten minutes after the PM was sent. That's fine with me, though - no complaints.

Sometimes it will take 20 minutes, and sometimes won't send at all. That PM you sent me? I never got the email, I had to physically go on the website and check.

That's weird! Maybe at certain times, then more people are on here, so the website's slower and sometimes it just "forgets" to send them? Well, since I'm such a technology expert    . . . I have absolutely no idea.

I have this problem too. But I've noticed that most people having this problem are relatively new, so you might have to post a bit more to be able to send PM's or? I don't know, I'm trying to do it to see if it works.

Same "The letters you typed do not match" error problems on Personal Messages for me. I have been registered for two years, but have posted to Forum threads only a couple of times. I have tried the suggested remedy (logged out of this site, cleared the caches on my browsers (Chrome & Internet Explorer), closed browser, then logged in anew), and I still cannot reply to PMs. I'll try posting to threads more this week and see if that helps.

My apologies for not replying to Forum members who have PM'd me--perhaps I will be able to reply in future.

I'm sorry, but our IT guys have looked at this and spent hours on it.  The problem is NOT on our end.  There is some incompatability with certain software on the user end that creates the problem.

WHAT PART OF WE CAN NOT FIX THIS ISSUE IS NOT GETTING THROUGH?
