Irony also means that on September 10th a friend almost stabs you with a plastic knife....

you mean that Sisi was only 44 when she died? I'm sorry but she was 61.

Yes, Sissi was nearly 61. She was born on December 24th 1837. So for september 1898 she was 60 years with aprox. 9 months.
Are you reffering to some deathbed photo? I haven't seen none, and doubt that there is one. I've only seen some drawings about her on her deathbed posted on the previous three parts

This is indeed Elisabeth. It is a charcoal drawing / sketch by Georg Raab. As far as I know this always remained a draft. He never painted it.

Well, men used to look older than women since they used moustache and  a lot of them lost their hair.

BTW here s the full of that illustration. It shows the whole family

so what you are saying is that the whole of the editorial staff of  "Royal Romances" magazine  got it wrong and that photo isnt taken in Geneva about an hour before the assassination ?
Maybe someone living in Geneva... ( or Territet )   can find the exact shop and confirm the location .

Well, its not inusual that some magazines, encyclopedies and etc got mislabeled images with wrong descriptions. That happens a lot, now and then

That picture was taken in march of 1898 and it was her last picture known
