That's a beautiful portrait Adelheid. It's the first time I see it.

I think it was made before Sisi blossomed into a legendary beauty.

One day in advanced, but...
113 years ago, on the afternoon the Empress Sissi died on her room at the Hotel Beau Rivage during her last trip on life. Rest In Peace, forever remembered by us.

I think she welcomed death as a kind of release from her restless life. She did not suffer much and came sudden.

Wedding of Herzogin Elizabeth in Bayern with Dr. Daniel Terberger.
The couple with the brides parents Herzogin Elizabeth and Herzog Max in Bayern, Hzt. in Tegernsee
You can see in the background a portrait of, I guess, Empress Elisabeth.

You´re welcome :)

This photo is the only UNRETOUCHED version of the famous Angerer portrait. That is why she looks so 'strange'. She looks simply natural. It is currently up for auction. It's coming from the property of Crownprince Rudolf of Austria, then it got in Marie Valerie's and Franz Salvator's ownership and then again in the ownership of Franz Salvator's second wife Melanie von Risenfels.

Sorry for asking this, but you mention that the photo is unretouched... When was it taken? (for being need to retouch it in other verssions :-?)
