Thanks Sarushka for pointing out the mislabeled photos in Royal Russia. I'll be sure to check my edition when I get back home.

I have "Royal Russia" myself and I was annoyed when I saw all those mistakes. I, too was surprised that they mislabeled so many photos. They should have done more research!
I've found that generally Tatiana is mistaken for Anastasia and Olga for Maria. And baby photos can always be hard to tell apart.
Just out of curiosity, in Peter Kurth's "Tsar" are there any mislabeled photos?

I did not catch that/ Thanks, Ally. At least Kurth's mistake wasn't as extreme as "Royal Russia"'s.  ::)

Hi everyone , another error i found in royal Russia was , the picture of of NIcholas and Alexandra with baby Olga , It says the Imperial couple at the time of their coronation 1886 ? Of course it might have been a typing error , i had fun at christmas pointing out all of the mistakes to my friend , who i was boring to tears .
I have the 1995 addition , with a wine red color and gold writing

The mislabeling doesn't bother me much as before. Although, I'm still finding it hard to identify Maria and Olga when the shot is from far away. I'm into wanting the exact date of a pic. But of course, it isn't possible.

That can be tough...I look for Olga's forehead or Marie's jaw for help in that

I understand you very well, I am always looking for an exact datation and trying to order my picture in a sort of photo-diary, as far as  can! It is not always possible, but one can try and sometimes come to relevant conclusions, especially for the later years.

Yes matushka. It irks me when books claim a pic was from a certain year yet it doesn't seem to match. I look for  another setting of to kind of match the pic in question.

Good luck with your photo diary, it's hard to sort thru a lot of romanov pics I have in my computer.
