Not sure since can't make out what says well. Willing to try to find a larger quality photo if can though.

That would be helpful; if I can read(see) it well I think I can translate it.

Sadly, quite the while of researching, gave up after looking throughout places like Photobucket, checking other's tumblr accounts to check for better quality, Flickr, and much more. I had even tried to screen cap, but made it look grainy and worse! Another photo that is kind of unresolved to me is this women with Olga,Tatiana(larger in case anyone correctly identity her):

My opinion, looks like one of Windsor relatives, maybe taken Cowes? Think may be Cousin Toria, but too difficult view her face.

Nope, its not Victoria of Wales. If she was a Windsor relative, it was Pss Helena Victoria of Schleswig Holstein? (cause it looks more like Thora s profile-)

Ah, yes, I think it may have been her, Carolath. She looks similar to that of other pictures specifically of her, thanks!

Haven't seen the last one, thank you! What does the sign say?

Haven't seen the last one, thank you! What does the sign say?

Yargh! You would  ask! I'd seen that photo and sign before and wondered. The quality of the photo  I'd seen prevented my reading it too well. I thought at first it identified the plant or  bush they're standing near. I later saw the sign  translated in one of the several Romanov photo albums or books and was pleased to find its meaning. Too bad I've forgotten and can't enlarge the photo enough to say now.

Still I think I know enough now to say it's " Cape of...... Sasha(Alexander)" I think it's some kind of locational sign, but that's not overly helpful I know. I'm sure you'll have ananswer fairly soon.
This sucker has tantalized me since edubs first asked and now I think I have the answer. With a little ingenuity and luck I've tracked it down to : "Dear Sasha's Cape". I still can't  read the second word , but it's very likely 'dear'. I'm far less certain of its overal location, but there was a skating rink nearby. Think Tsarskoe Selo area. Hope no natural Russian speaker slaps me down on this.

Thank you for clarifying, Rodney! I don't think I could have read that without taking a hard glance or being able finding another photo of better quality!
Has this photo popped up yet, I think that person of this blog took a picture from a documentary (which I don't know which one)? I'll take a good guess and say this is Tatiana dressed for a play of theirs. (Year anyone?)

Aloha!

There is another similar type photo of Maria dressed in the same type of clothing elsewhere as well.  I've never seen either of them in any better quality unfortunately.

I'd like to know more about them, but all I know is that it was some type of "dress up" of some type - whether for a play or not, I don't know.  Also not sure of what year.

I took the photos years ago using a camera in front of the TV, from a VHS documentary. Still have the video somewhere, but can't recall off hand what it's called.
