She was indeed a dedicated and industrious  little munchkin. Only lacking a little tongue escaping the little mouth. And ever adorable.

Me neither! What a stunning find! It was probably the wig, but Tatiana always looked much more mature than her actual age in all the 1913 photographs.

Also - for the first time I can see her necklace well. Interesting piece!

Thank you, Dru! It's both interesting and frustrating to think about why a few of the famous formal photos are online in massive sizes but others like Tatiana's 1913 photos, despite the relative frequency with which they show up on royal sites, I'd never before seen in the kind of good quality that would make the details clear.

The necklace didn't stand out in smaller photos, but here it looks fascinatingly unusual.

It's so interesting how photos can show up online unexpectedly. I checked my cropped versions of the beach and Standart photos and both files were from 2011. Almost three years later I got to see the full photos for the first time.

My favourite of these wonderful new photos. They're beautifully posed. I've never seen the dresses before; it's a reminder of how much is still unseen despite the thousands of photos online.
