Looks like she's sitting quite close to the edge! She's wearing the same outfit as in the old photos of her and Olga from the Yale album. This image shows a lot of wonderful details in the clothing.

Hauntingly beautiful! For some reason I imediatelly imagined her in the Empire style clothes. She would have looked divine.

The description says Tsarskoe Selo but isn't this Peterhof or something? I've seen photos from a big sunny room in Peterhof with similar furniture.

The description says Tsarskoe Selo but isn't this Peterhof or something? I've seen photos from a big sunny room in Peterhof with similar furniture.

These two were taken in July of 1914 actually, as far as I remember. The one with G. Mountbatten too. But the others were most likely taken in 1915, the ones of OTM alone near the balcony.
You know, it is famous '1914 or 1915 dilemma'. :-( I wish we could know the real answer. If it was 1915, O and T would likely be seen in their nurse uniforms but it is not always the pointer.

Maria started to put her hair up in 1915. It looks like her hair is up in those two as well. Only Anastasia still has her hair down. That's why I thought they were all taken in 1915.

In the 1914 formal photo shoot for example and when they went to Romania the same year.

But why are we talking about years? I was just doubting these new photos were taken at Tsarskoe Selo XD

Yes, during June she was wearing her hair down and then all of sudden, she started wearing it up.

Since date is as important as place. :-) In come cases it can even be more significant. Yes, it is one more dilemma, called 'Tsarskoe or Peterhof'.
