His signature "Nicky" in English. Pics please??
« on: March 21, 2010, 10:32:17 AM »
Am trying to help someone out, and am going mad trying to find images of Nicholas' signature in English as "Nicky". I KNOW they're out there, and so far after three hours of searching have only found 1! Can any of you guys post a link for me to images showing his actual "Nicky" signature? Thanks!!

I know I saw pics of a handwritten letter in English here somewhere which he had written to Queen Marie of Romania during WW1. It was about political issues, but very intimate in tone, so I presume he signed it Nicky. Now I can't for the life of me find it.

Those are nice samples,  I watched a doco on Nicky and Alix with Prince Michael of (Kent??) and he went to this place were Alix and Nicky signed their name in a pane of glass.   As Alix and Nicky.

Thank you very much for the images. It is nice to be able to read the letters, very neat handwriting indeed.

I assume the monogram is the Empresses rather than the Tsar's ?

Does anyone have Nicholas II's  signature after they were in Ekaterinburg?

Thanks.

I think it would be very rare to find Nicky's signature when he was Enkaterinburg.   Still be interesting if there was one surviving evidence of that.

I've never seen one. In fact, I'm not aware of any letters written by the tsar after his arrival in Ekaterinburg. He occasionally added small notations to Maria's letters to OTAA, but to my knowledge even those weren't signed. (If those notes were signed, I presume it would have been "Papa" -- not Nicholas or Nicky.)
