Attention, "abbigail" and your post #3:    Please reconsider the location of this photo as you have given!  I am certain that the "Standart" looked nothing like this location. Consider the stone/concrete flag-stone walkway, the reflected arch, tree, etc.  Perhaps try the arcade of the Imperial Palace courtyard/etc. in Lividia?  Regards,  AP

Ah, you're right. The link said it was the Standart.
It does looks more like Livadia. Thanks!

I believe it's the same day as the photo of Olga and Tatiana in a door way and one of Tatiana where you can see the shadow of the Tsar
taking her picture...thanks for the size of that photo abbigail! Love it! Seems to me,  girls dressed in white + columns = Livadia.

which one of Tatiana... i must never of noticed Nicholas' shadow? Then again, I probably don't recognize a lot of things in other photos as well until it's pointed out.

Lord yes, very similar. Sometimes in pictures of them when young, you have to identify them based on Olga's  wider forehead or Marie's wider jaw! The photo of Tatiana with Nicky's  shadow was published in the Robert Massie bio of N & A 40 years ago ..the caption makes a note of it.  I have seen the photo since, but the Tsar's shadow is often cropped out and you just see Tatiana. It's funny, because you can see his index finger is pointed up ...meaning " now, stay still" T looks fairly annoyed...perhaps that's why she'll sometimes frowns while taking photos...you had to keep very still! lol!

I believe this photo is from the same day...and you can see a shadow on Olga's dress.

It's amazing what you can see when a photo is blown up larger.   I never noticed that Olga's dress has a longer skirt underneath.
