Clearly ! You are not going to walk on your knees until Iekaterinbourg to beg a pardon, especially if you're american ! You didn't kill anybody, didn't steal anything for yourself !

Just take it as lesson learned VOF.

Please do not let this incident hamper your interest/passion for the Romanovs/Royalty/European History.

Just a word of advice.

Great ones! Thanks for sharing them and pointing us in the direction of the documentary. Wish I knew Russian.

Aloha!

Amazing documentary - about 98% of the pictures used I've never seen before!!

Wish that I understood one word of Russian, but it seems to be told from the viewpoint of OTMAA, given the pictures and the voices.

Mahalo (thank you) very much for the link - I just wish I knew how to do screen grabs - so many great unseen (by me at least) pictures!

Koloagirl, I'm working on it right now. I'm only grabbing the ones of the Grand Duchesses that I've never seen before though. Soon I'll be posting them in the latest Rare Pictures thread.

You're welcome EmmyLee !

Even if you don't understand russian, watch it, at least for the pictures. But the music (it would be better to write "sound") is really annoying, it gave me a headache cause in the same time, I tried to understand in russian which is not my native language.
Yes koalagirl, in fact, it is told about the letters from Alexandra and the grandes duchesses (and maybe the tsar I don't remember).
The link I posted is the second part, the first one is here :

Great! I'll have to go through the second part too and look for rare photos. I just barely posted the ones from the first part in the Rare Pictures thread.

Thanks for posting this link! It's awesome. The music can get annoying but I love how it's a reading of letters for the most part. I like that they read Tatiana's letter with the story of the David statue and Anastasia's 'artichoke' song.

Not sure if it was a song or just a poem.
"Artichokes, artichokes/and 'elmond' trees and 'elmond trees'/never grow on the nose/never grow on the nose/I wish they did/I wish they did/thrice and more."

And she often alluded to artichokes at the ends of her letters. Among many other random things..
