Incredible! Thank you so much for posting the 1906 photos of the girls. What a wonderful look behind the scenes of some of the most well-known images of them.

I've only seen one of those Olga photos before (5) but two others were also not crossed out. If they were deemed acceptable for public release, I wonder if there exist cards of images 1 and 6.

I really loved the one posted by GDSophie, where Olga sits like a boss. That's too refreshing to see! It's been a looooong time since I haven't dug through threads and all over the web for their photos. Thanks fellow members!

I hadn't seen the two photos posted by Sister Romanova on August 11, of Olga and Anna Vyrubova at Livadia.  The first is especially intriguing; I've seen only the well known photo of Alexis and Alexandra sitting in this chair.  I had no idea that it was one of a series.

This picture of Olga with her father and two guards, taken in 1917 after the revolution, reminds me of a quote by Klavdiya Bitner, who had become a tutor of the younger children in Tobolsk: "There were times when she smiled when you would sense that the smile was all on the surface, and that deep down inside her soul, she was not smiling, but sad."

It's clear that in this picture her smile is very forced
