I wonder what the trains that common travelers took from Tsarskoe Selo to Petersburg actually looked like in 1916. Were these trains set up with compartments and an access corridor on the side, or were they set up more like a regular coach car (one big open cabin with two rows of seats and a central aisle)? Does anybody have pictures?
Looking at all the pictures of train stations in this thread was awesome, but a bit confusing. Is the boarding platform at the public train station in Tsarskoe Selo the one with the metal and glass structure arching overhead, or the one that is open to the sky? I suspect it may be the latter by I'm not sure.
Based on the latest series of archive pictures, I suspect the way one reached the boarding platform was through one of the wood and glass doors in the waiting room, correct?
Thanks again for all the pics!
