Well not exactly this one but quite similar (I can't find the correct pic) was on my old history book.

For me it's the same as Abbigail. I saw this in the back of the Royal Diaries book "Anastasia:The Last Grand Duchess", the first Romanov book I read.  :)

I think that the first picture of them that I saw was this one:

The first book that I read of them was Nicholas & Alexandra of Robert Massie! Hehe

I first saw a pose of the 1913 picture, very tiny, in a book that I think was an eyewitness book, it was in that format, anyways. It had a caption that said who they were, and about the 1918 events. I though that it was interesting, and sad, and that the girls were very beautiful. I wanted to learn more about them, and then forgot to look into it. I read the Last Grand Duchess a year or so later and I realized it was the same people as in the picture.  :)

^ I first saw that one too. It's in an encyclopedia we have, and when I was eleven and obsessed with the cartoon movie Anastasia, my dad showed me that to show me that she was real.

i'm not sure what the first group portrait of IF was, probably the same as sweet angel, but i think the first, or certainly one of the very first i saw of any of them was this one of anastasia , i'd never seen a real photo of any of them before, and it really freaked me out when i first saw it, i was young, by myself and it was late at night. but anyway this was my first real glimpse of part of who i am

The first photo I can remember, and the one that always stands out for me, is that of a Imperial Family photograph on the cover of  Robert K. Massie's book - "The Romanovs -The Final Chapter", published in 1995.  I paid $25.00 USD for it then.

I can't really remember exactly what picture was the first one that I ever saw of the IF, but I think it might have been this one on Wikipedia from Alexei's page.
