Hooray for pizza! Last night I had sausages, fried egg and bread and butter. When the yolk from the fried egg is all over my plate, I get the bread and butter and soak it up, and then eat it! I know it sounds revolting, but it's actually quite nice, and it cleans your plate!  :)

Yep, that's the best revolting part of eating the egg.
I do it all the time. ;)

Tonight we are having T-Bone steak, chips and EGGS ha, ha, ha.
I'll have my bread ready.
Haha yes, me too :) tonight I am going with about 20 of my friends to what we call a 'fish and chip sleep', basically we walk about 2 miles to the nice fish and chip shop in a town near ours, then we buy some, eat them on the way back, and sleep in a selected building (the top floor of our church, which is currently just over the road from me) and, well, we don't actually SLEEP, we stay up all night giggling endlessly and sharing secrets and stories!  ;D

Won't it be cold up there?
Now be sure to wear something warm and why don't you let me make you some nice hot chocolate that I'll send along in a thermos for you?
Sound like your mother?
I do this all the time to my boys - who are now grown, but they just roll their eyes at me.

Could you please explain that?
Is it pureed salmon breadrolls?

Poached salmon and mashed potatoes.

I get just mashed potatoes - got the wisdom teeth pulled yesterday.

Oh, I hope you feel better soon. That's not nice, I had one pulled once.
Bet you probably don't feel much like eating anyway.

We're having soup tonight. I made heaps last weekend and had to freeze some, so fresh rolls with that will be nice.

Fyodor, maybe you shouldn't be reading this thread at the moment.
Try some soup?

Nah, we had the heating on all night. No, you don't sound like my mother much, she ain't bothered about stuff like that. Just so long as I have my sleeping bag, she tells me...I brought N &A! My friends were all like "How much more information can you take in on these people?!" We actually had hot chocolate there, but it was cold. :( Our culinary skills are nothing short of rubbish...a packet of sweets and some burnt toast is our limit!

We're having soup tonight.
Which sort of soup?

Um, probably something quick to make, like a pizza, I feel kind of embarrassed putting that, because everyone else (with the exception of Leticia lol) is eating all these exotic-sounding foods!
Psst! I too have days with just pizza, pasta or sandwhiches for the dinner, if that revelation makes you feel better!
I think some of us only chime in here when we have a menu we are proud to share :-) Or something that half-way measures up to imperial standards. Like me tonight:

Au menu ce soir:
Saumon cuit au four aux épices et oignon. Avec carotte et rutabaga crues.
Pour le dessert pouding au chocolat avec sauce à la vanille.

On the menu tonight:
Salmon baked with spices and onion. With raw carrot and rutabaga.
For dessert, chocolate pudding with vanilla sauce.

BTW before I had to look up the French and English names for rutabaga aka Swedish turnip, I had never realized that it's native to Russia and my native Scandinavia!
So its title "orange of the North" (because of the high level of C vitamins, not the taste!) is even more fitting!

Fyodor, it's vegetable soup with chunks of meat in it. I made that much of it last week that I'm able to thaw it out.
But we didn't end up having it last night as I felt like toasted Breville sandwiches instead,
We shall have the soup tonight.
How is your mouth?
