Attention Reply #40: It is a trusium that the longer one permits a person to "harp" on a subject, the more one discovers about the true motive/s that play out in "hidden agendas.' On some cherished belief, experience, if remotely suggested or an association is made, hypersensitive minds will seize upon that as a challenge, and attempt to garner like-mannered supporters to the cause. I believe that a similiar ignored/failed attempt was made against what were humourously called the "Grand Poobahs," on this Forum. It this instance of the so-called piece of clothing, it is not the clothing item itself, but the naieve attempt for the poster to get validation from some wide-eyes member who exclaims, " OOOOOO You know what that LOOKS LIKE? I saw a scrap of a burned shirt that belonged to (Name omitted - AP) ! Maybe that's why it means so much to you!" Look at the "pen-name" of the person and his avatar, showing a SIMILIAR shirt------and then, THEN, say, "I don't know why...?." "Wierd." Of course, he already knew the answer, and I just confirmed it by the instant reaction/s.
There is nothing wrong with having confidence in one's ability to speak up in a civil tone to make their point in a disagreement, especially when DOCUMENTATION is required, not unsupported word of mouth sources, unless qualified by "IMO," - or- when one is plainly wrong in authority, concept, etc. If information is taken from another form outside the APTMF to be used in a supporting manner for an article on the AP Forum, then credit is always cited and in the instance mostly remembered from "Past Lives", the moderator actually INVITED all of us to "come, revel,"(in the information presented). One would think that if that person/cohorts were sincre about their stances, they would welcome a chance to be included in the sources. Alas, it seems that they apparently did not have the courage/documented proof of their convictions, only their opinions (which can be respected, certainly, but not in an academic need of sustaining proof. Their opinions simply become "opinions.") Therefore, following the FA's lead, let this "playout" and see the ultimate dispersal of effort I have had my say and appreciate the opportunity for response. Regards, AP.
