Yes i agree...
Russian for example have many  cases(grammatical) and it's really hard to learn it...Bulgarian is even more harder... There are 9 tenses and i still can't make good the tense "future tense in the past" and i'm Bulgarian... i mean when i'm speaking i'm saying it everyday but when i have to write it i just forgot what it was...strange business...

I'm learning French all by myself with the help of a Xenophobes handbook. It's so difficult to pronounce French especially the r. I'm kind of snorting when I speak it. I also have to remind myself that all final letters must be silent except c,f, and i don't know the others(I forgot :( )
Well, Russian alphabet's easier to learn than japanese. God bless you on your Japanese lessons Proud Olga.

Thank you for encouraging me! And good luck with our (extremely difficult according to others) language. I think that maybe for non native French speakers the difficulty comes from our verbs ... But that's not impossible to learn it :). As Marie Catherine, if you meet any difficulty, you can ask me :).

Yep just japanese is if i can say it "rootly" ( comming from root) diffrent.... Russian is alot easier then Japanese..... Russia people use Cyrillic alphabet to write.... neither russian neither any other language is easy....

The alphabet is maybe the only extremely difficult point in the Japanese language. Pronounciation is so easy (because all the sounds exist in French) and the grammar doesn't pose any problem when you understood it.
A language difficult to a person may be far easier to another one. Spanish will be easy for an Italian speaker and so on. It all depends of the person who is learning a language, not of the language itself.

I love languages so much that I hope the time comes I'll know how to speak all.

Same for me! There are so many languages I'd love to learn, in fact, when I'll be able of it, I'd like to travel very much. I especially want to see Asian countries (I'm so fan of the cultures there) and the countries of Eastern Europe.

When young is definitely easier to learn any language but audio tapes are definitely not the best way.

The best way to learn is to have a tutor that makes you respond to him. I forgot what the style is called but it was used in the military. Also, just being immersed in the language is fastest.
