On page 20 of Eduard Radzinky's book titled "the Last Tsar" he refers to a quote made by Vera Leonidovna Yureneva(a close friend of the Romanovs):
"He adored walking (refering to Nicholas II).....There was a rumor that he met a beautiful Jewiss on the walk.....And a romance had sprung up. There was a lot of gossip about that in Petersburg. But his father acted as decisively as ever : the Jewiss was sent away along with her entire houseold. Nicholas was in her home while all this was going on. Only over my dead body" declared Nicholas.
Does anyone have any information on this relationship, such as the age of Nicholas at the time, the name of the Jewiss, the seriousness of the relationship, etc ?
According to Radzinsky Nicholas was a young officer at the time and Alexander III was very much alive.
