I have a few papers that have been passed down though my family. Not much has ever been done with them other than just hearing stories. As I have a great  love and respect for history I could never see the stories in total truth. My grandfather died before I could ever ask him about them and my father never had the urge to know more. My grandmother would get angry if I ask questions about them. So I  really have always wondered about them. I have tried to have them translated a few times but that failed. I never have been greatly involved with Russian history although it would be nice to find out more on the history and background of my family. I have only found out this much so far: All are official documents issued by the tsarist government circa 1900. The first couple attest to the fact that my  great grandfather's family were hereditary nobility and had been since at least the 18th century. The rest all have to do with military service, and particularly my great grandfather's service in what we would call the "reserves" or "national guard." They explain what his obligations were and attest that he had fulfilled them. If anyone could lend a hand or point me in the right direction that would be of great assistance. The link has  a few pictures of the papers. http://www5.snapfish.com/snapfish/thumbnailshare/AlbumID=1389783026/a=2819253026_2819253026/otsc=SHR/otsi=SALBlink/COBRAND_NAME=snapfish/
