Thank you Marc! Never seen that one before, just beautiful! Do you know who the artist was? Or where the painting is now?

Does anyone have information about Queen Sophie's relationship with Queen Victoria? Was Sophie a favorite granddaughter to the Queen or just another one?

i don't think she was a favourite ...just another one like Missy.
Alexandra of Hesse and Victoria of Battenberg were her faves:)

Sophie was never as energetic a consort as Vicky was in Berlin. She always advised her daughter to open more institutions and interests in art.  :(

don't know i like her so much she was courageous and fought bravely for her love this is a thing to admire on a lady, she was interested in her greek people ...i don't choose my favourites according to their appearance or interest in art, there are many things far more important than these 2  :( :( same with Maud of Norway!!! these 2 queens are equal in my heart for their dignity, and uprightness, true grandaughters of QV.

In the later years Sophie became much more energetic. She needed vicky in the beginning...
