There also numerous films of Nicholas & the family at the front. There's even one of Tsarevich Alexei throwing a snowball at Gilliard! I also know that there is a film of Nicholas walking through a line of soldiers saluting & he comes extremely close to the camera. There's also a film of the family  dancing on the Standart & one of Alexandra at her charity bazaar. If I remember right there's a film of Tsar Nicholas & Nikolasha. Speaking of royalty & the cameras there's one of Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee procession in 1897. Oh yes there was a film of Nicholas & Alexandra at their coronation in Moscow. I also know that there's one of Nicholas, Alexandra & the children walking in a procession in 1912/1913?

In some of the Romanov documentaries, they show old film reels of the family, usually public gatherings. Did they ever do personal films, as they did with their cameras? If so, where can we access them, and if not, where can we access the ones where they go out in public?

Dear Kia,

I remember when I was in seventh grade, I did an assignment on the Romanovs, where we had to write a report on the discovery of their bones and then write about Anna Anderson, and each person in my class had to write down their opinion on whether they believed Anna Anderson was Anastasia or not and why.
To write our report, we had to go on www.dnai.org. Even though that website was mostly about the discovery of their bones and about Anna Anderson, it still had some film clips of the Romanovs. Here's what to do:

1. Go onto www.dnai.org
2. Click on 'Applications' at the top of the page.
3. Click on 'Recovering the Romanovs' at the bottom of the page.
4. Click on 'the Romanov family' at the top of the page.
5. A picture will come up of the Romanov family and you click 'Start' on the picture.
There are 10 pages about the Romanov family. If it interests you, you can go through the whole thing. The films page is on page 6.
It has 4 films: the last moving picture of the Tsar and his family at a military gathering (12 seconds); Alexei riding a horse, accompanied by his father (1 min 12 secs); Romanov family members roller skating on their ship 'Standart' (1 min 1 sec) and Romanov family members dancing on the Standart (18 secs).
    Hope I helped.

Love,
Lovy.

P.S. You can also click on 'the mystery of Anna Anderson' when you're done with 'the Romanov family.'

Also there was a film from 1896 of Nicholas, Alexandra & Olga's visit to Queen Victoria at Balmoral.
