That photo is not on the Polar Star.  It appears to be one of the paddle yachts....possibly the yacht  "Power".

Do you mean "Derzhava", yacht of Alexander III ?

Obviously it doesnt come from the GARF but from a book and the quality is excellent, thanks but its smaller than the one from the GARF,. Pity =/

The original image was postcard sized. When you click through to the webshots image you'll see it at 3 times the size which will mean it should print at the same quality as the original.

Yes it does belong to her. I've seen it on other threads and forums about MF.  There are quite a lot of MF dresses still in existance, enough to do an exhibition if they wanted to.

At first glance, I thought it was really the dress she wore on that beautiful portrait. But upon scrutinizing more, it isn't (the dress on the portrait has less lace-works (?) on the skirt, while on the sleeves, there are more lace-works ).

Thanks for the confirmation Kathy! I wonder if that dress was the one she used while she posed for the portrait or had one that was totally like in the painting? Or perhaps Angeli changed it a bit
