Reference to Reply #1:  Indeed he does!  The Princes Phillip and Alexander, fraternal twins with Phillip being the elder. Born 1982 in the state of Virginia, USA, and by descent, in line as well for the British Throne, though somewhat down "the list."    AP.

True,Prince Philip is 96th while Prince Alexander 97th in line to the British throne...they are twins indeed,but they look so different...

Thanks. I was thinking more around the previous generations. Around the war (not sure if it was WWI or WWII).
I don't know a lot about the Balkan Royals, but something sparked in me the idea that there was twin daughters or a male/female twin associated with the Balkan/and or Russian Royal Households.
I believe it was covered up due to mental illness (possibly post natal depression) and abusive behaviour of one of the male relatives. Sadly, there was apparently a lot of shame around the incident (I guess in keeping with the nature of the times and the nature of 'the incident' - whatever it actually was).
Has anyone else come across such things? Possibly in diaries? But more likely passed down verbally?
