Romanov Fiction Ideas
« on: June 17, 2010, 08:22:41 PM »
So I've glanced threw here and I've seen plenty of actual fiction stories on the IF, but no area for just ideas. So basically if you have an idea for a story that you for some reason can't write it (or your just like me and have chronic writers block and also suffer from a severe case of laziness) then just post it here. If this isn't aloud or there is already a place for this that I overlooked, just let me know so it can be corrected.   :)

I'll post the first idea.

So this is a "what if?"/AU. Now as far as I know when Alexei visited his father at the front during WWI (was it only once or more than that? I've just recently started reading Thirteen Years at the Russian Court, by Pierre Gilliard I haven't finished it yet, I'm only at where Alexei and Pierre went)...as I was saying before my rambling interupted it, as far as I know Alexei never had any problems with his health (hemophilia or other wise), but what if something happened when Alexei and Pierre were visiting and Alexei was hurt causing another "attack" for lack of a better word, and what if it happened in front of a crowd of people, like when he and his father were visiting/reviewing the troops or whatever it was they did (it was something like that right? I can't quite remember.) What would they do? I mean they obviously can't send him back home, it would be to dangerous.

What do you think? Let me know. :)

Funny, but my ideas just seem to come out of nowhere.  So far, I have written two stories involving the Romanov's.

1.  I have a series of stories called the Rex and Hannah Chronicles, it's a spin-off of the TV series Charmed.  For my 13th R&H story, that I titled Requiem, I came up with the idea of Rex and Hannah encountering the spirits of NAOTMAA, who have been Earthbound since their murder in 1918.  As the story unfolds, Rex and Hannah must find out why the Romanov's have not crossed over (this story also has some Ghost Whisperer concepts in it too).

2.  The second story I wrote, Bid Time Return, started off as part of the Alternate Ending For the Romanov's thread.  My idea, that just seconds before their execution, the IF is rescued and taken to the 29th Century.  This was originally supposed to be a one off thing, but I found myself adding further chapters, it just kept going and going.  So I gave it its own thread and title, Bid Time Return (in fact, I may try to get this one published).

Of course, this is not counting the soap opera thing that Romanov History Buff, myself, and others are writing.

So I may come up with future ideas, who knows :)

OK, I already typed this out once but I hit a button and it disappeared on me.   ::)

So this kind of a crossover with The Lost Prince and was inspired slightly by that terribly portrayed scene in the movie where the IF visited there family in England. As far as I know, at least what I remember (correct me if I'm wrong) but the IF only visited them once, but what if they visited when the children were older. Also I don't think the Englands royal family knew Alexei had hemophilia so that's the idea I'm going with. What if something happened and it was accidentally reveled? Maybe Alexei was playing with John and things got out of hand. I have a little more floating in my head but can't really type them out, which is why what I already have might not make the most sense (at least it seems that way to me), so if this at all sparks your interest and you want to write something out of this let me know and I'll try to make more sense.

I would, but I'm not really a writer, I'm more of an idea-thinker-uper...if that makes sense. The closest I get to actually writing a story is when someone else does the actual writing and I come up with ideas to keep it all flowing and read what they come up with once its written and make any last minute suggestions. It doesn't sound like a whole lot now that I've got it all typed out, but my friend that I'm co-authoring a story with says that its more than enough and insists that I do allot more than I think I do, by doing all of that.

I'll take a go at this!  Sounds interesting, how about 1913? Perhaps in May or something, after the Tercentenary celebrations. Forgive me if it's historically inacurate with anything, but I'll do my best!  :)

OK, well, the story isn't actually going anywhere presently, I thought I had an idea for an opening sentence but I don't. But don't worry, I do have thoughts for the story later on, it's just that I have a bit of writer's block on getting started. I have a heading that says "The Standart, on the way to England," but nothing else. Any thoughts?

Hmmm......well maybe you could start it off with Nicholas and Alexandra talking to the children about the family and what they're going to do or something.
