I think children can look like as their parents, not inverted. IMO, both Tatiana and Alexei resembled her.

Take a look through the three threads that are posted here.

I know that there is one photo where she is coming up the gang plank of a ship and she is smiling.  She has a space between her front upper teeth.

Do you mean this picture?

Alexandra would murder me if I called her cute, but that little gap makes her look wike a cute wittle girl!  *ghost slaps cheek*  (ouch! I think i deserved that!)

The problem here is that other people on this site don't really show their sense of humor, so I'll just say I'm joking to the people who are going to scream at me.  But now I'm scared of Alix's wrath.  (what was that noise outside?   It sounded like a well-manicured fingernail tapping on my window, along with some lady telling me to go outside in this stormy weather in German!)

Please tell me some of you are laughing!

I am! ;D

I take it that Alexandra was in a good mood one day in 1910 as she is not only smiling in the photo with Nicholas, she was again smiling on the photo of her walking up the gang plank. That is unless she was wearing the same dress on two different occasions, of which she was seemingly happy.

Somehow, it makes my day so much brighter to see a picture of her smiling.

I know I was joking about the whole "Alix's wrath" thing, but I am being serious now.  Today, my town has been covered in rain since I woke up.  I decided to go out for a walk in the rain after I typed that, abd I suddenly had the feeling someone was following me.  I look around, and no one is there.  I tell myself I'm just trying to scare myself too much.  Then I take a shortcut through the woods to get back to my house, when out of the corner of my eye, I could have sworn I saw a figure dressed in white.  Maybe I am paranoid, but I swear this is true.

If you see her, tell her hello for me.  ; )

Compared to what she was called in life, I bet being called "cute" would not be enough to incur her wrath, so I think you're safe.  : )

Once again, I swore I saw something outside the window at school.  This time, it was clearer, someone in a white early 20th century dress for sure.

You're right.  Being mad would not be a reason for her to incur her wrath.  As my friend, Beth, put it, "Dude, if a ghost is mad at you, they come into your house and kill you!"

I don't know.  Maybe I keep seeing this stuff because my life is boring and I really want to meet Alix, alive or dead.  Staring at some picture all day isn't enough.

Aww..sorry for off-topic but I just want to tell you that Alix never had her fingernails manicured because Nicholas doesn’t like it (“,)
Or maybe that ghost is another German person?

Amazing colored fotos  by the most wonderful Yelena Aleksandrovna. Endless thank you very much!

I believe it is 1911 photo session - I have somewhere fuller one. Or at least, it had been posted previously.

Aloha!

I enjoy coming to the various photo threads....it is always wonderful to see new or even familiar pictures of the IF.....but some of the comments on this one are really
starting to bother me.....I don't want to be a poop about it.....but I respect and feel affection for Tsarina Alexandra very much....and I think a lot of these comments should be
in the "Having Fun" thread and not on a regular photo thread.

Just my opinion.....

No "disrespect" intended to any posters, just my thoughts about it.

Janet, waht an AWWWWWWWfully CUUUUUte comment of yours.

I second that!

By the way - the last photograph is rather a dull mix of two 1907 photos of the Empress. The head taken from a group photo aboard the "Standart", the body is from the famous Duma opening setting.

She looks like a thirsty vampire here (but it's the quality of the picture which makes her look like that to me)
[/quote]

I never thought such a nice sweet empress like Alexandra could ever actually scare me, but now I know I'm not sleeping tonight.  She does look like a vampire-zombie being in that one.  Even if it is edited, it still creeps me out.

I think Thomas_Hesse meant that this photo was edited. Not the one at the Standart window.

Now I really am scared because that Standart one wasn't edited!
