Dmitry Medvedev commits a tour of one of the most beautiful suburbs of Saint Petersburg. Tsarskoe Selo recently celebrated its 300 anniversary. And today, many temples and palaces there restored, many rebuilt. Among them is Catherines Cathedral, dynamited in 1939 and is now built on the same foundation. he president showed, and the Alexander Palace - a masterpiece of Russian architecture, built by Catherine II. The Russian president, visited the Alexander Palace in Pushkin. Recall masterpiece Quarengi restored for the anniversary of the Tsar's village. Dmitry Medvedev proposed to compare the restored interiors with photographs of the 19 th century. Most of the original items - including furniture and the table at which Dmitry Medvedev signed the book of honorable guests.
Head of State said that he admired work of restorers.
In addition to the grand suite of Alexander Palace, the President showed renovated pavilion Hermitage, as well as the park, which is only to recreate.

Its uncanny how much he resembles a clean-shaven Tsar Nicholas. Perhaps he was destined to be President? My photos are like to ones on the video. I'll be happy to share them when i know how!

The restored Alexander Palace is indeed stunningly beautiful. I just have to wonder, however, what on earth Medvedev thought he was doing, touring an old imperial palace while basically the entire area around the Russian capital city, Moscow, burned. Okay, so these summer forest fires never seem to have actually threatened Moscow, much less Petersburg or Tsarskoe Selo. But they were destructive enough to warrant a national state of emergency. And they've already cost hundreds of lives.

You ask me, Russian leaders have their heads on all wrong. And no, I don't think that Medvedev looks anything like Nicholas II. The only thing they have in common is their short height and their overall air of being completely out of their depth.

I actually can see why people say that they look alike. I see a lot of resemblance there, especially when you look at the photos of N clean shaven...

If you look at the President in a serious expression, the likeness to Nicholas is obvious. There are few photos of Nicholas smiling and when the President smiles, the similarity disappears.
