The tsar's children were all quite talented but I only found Aleixei's and Anastasia's drawing, cute arent they?
Alexei's drawings were posted in another topic.

Enjoy! :)

It's the drawing that appeared in the animated movie Anastasia (1997).
G.D. Olga said that she looked like a pig ridding a donkey. (Which was said in the movie aswell)

Drawings (1913 and 1915) of Grand Duchess Anastasia to her father tsar Nicholas II.

I always loved that cat. It reminds me of the Cheshire cat in Alice in Wonderland. It would make a very fine one!

Given the smile , the tree, and the rings on its tail, I think it's a good guess it's AN's version of the Cheshire cat. The little girl always reminded me of the Campbell Soup children from that time as well. It's not impossible AN knew of them from magazine ads , they were that world famous. Children often get thier artistic start by rendering thier versions of pictures they have seen .

Yes! Campbells soup indeed! I have this old paper doll by the same artist as those labels and ads, and I always found it funny. Perhaps Anastasia thought the same...

Really? It seems highly improbable that a quote that was truly said by Olga Nicholaevna would have appeared in a film which took such a drastic departure from history and all fact...Where did you read that? Welcome to the forum, in any case!  :)

Well, they did include the real life painting in the movie, so it wouldn't be too far fetched that a real quote of Olga's would've made it into the movie. However, I've never heard of her having actually said it.

Hi,
I've read somewhere that Anastasia wrote letters sent to her father with these drawings and one of the letters she told the comment that her sister said about that particular drawing. I don't remembr where I found this.

I love that Cheshire cat drawing!

Regarding the Olga comment, I have never heard of her saying it either.
