Exactly. I've seen portraits of famous persons where I'd never have guessed who they really showed. lol Just look at how many paintings from Sisi exist and how less the persons shown look like her.

Thanks go9d for pictures cause you can NEVEr trust in a painter! (it changes  extremely the face of the sitter making them look or way beautiful than the real person , ejem Queen Victoria, or like a different person)

I think that definitively the lady portrayed there isn't Marie, she must be Eugenie of Montijo (the eyes are similar and the shape of the face) or another lady...

Doesnt look like her but ITS her. Damn, poor painter he must be rolling and jumpin in his grave cause he was not talented enough to portray properly Maria Sophia.
